I wanted to report back on our all too short stay (2 nights) in
this marvellous apartment in Dijon. All emails went well and
Corinne arranged to meet us at the station with detailed
directions on how to find her. Then we were delayed and she was
still able to pick us up at a later time and drive us to the
apartment. I might add that she also picked us up and returned
us to the station, helping us with luggage to the platform and
waiting to make sure we were OK. Not only did she show us the
apartment, we actually had a guided tour of the centre of the
town and explanations of the free shuttle bus, the music
festival, the times of museums, some history and so on. As to
supplies, she left us enough for breakfast for our two mornings
(eggs, ham, butter, breads, milk, fresh fruit, coffee, juice etc)
and had left us some freshly baked cake to fill our tummies
after our delayed arrival and bought us a baguette on our tour
around.
The apartment is very central, just near Place de la
Liberation. It is one very roomy studio with a fully equipped
kitchen, wifi, TV, heaps of guide books and information. A great
bed, a cute red velvet chaise, a beautifully set table, a desk,
there wasn't one thing Corinne hadn't thought of. And she was so
enthusiastic, bubbly and delightful it would be difficult indeed
to not feel welcomed and enthusiastic in turn about this lovely
town.Definitely not enough time in the town and definitely
somewhere we would return if we manage to get back that way.
Highly recommended. (lu sur
